“I love the time when I paint and I have enjoyed the people and places I have seen in this process.
Knowing that we are in a very peculiar and unpredictable situation globally and learning about all the hardships people are facing in India due to the lockdown I have used my time at home to compile my work for an online exhibition, ‘Colorways’, which everyone can view safely from their homes.
I had always contemplated having an exhibition and I am thrilled to be able to have this platform to put up my paintings. It is fulfilling to know that my art could be of help to so many people in need.
I would like to donate 100% of the proceeds of this exhibition to Teach for India through Oberoi Foundation. Teach for India is an organisation working tirelessly to support the children and their families adversely affected by the lockdown, due to the spread of COVID-19 in India.
I hope that my art brings as much positivity to people during this time,as creating it, did for me.”
Teach For India
Teach For India (TFI) is a renowned NGO which, for the last 13 years, has been striving towards providing an equal chance at excellent education to all children. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, TFI fellows across the nation identified the ardent needs for their students in terms of essentials like food, shelter and medical assistance. They’ve been relentlessly working towards collecting this aid and providing it to the students for 2 weeks now. The proceeds generated from Vihaan Oberoi’s paintings would thus be a major boost to the ongoing effort towards the betterment of the future generation of India. Vihaan realises the gravity of this, it’s time you did too.
